The House of Mexico finally has its own cottage and will celebrate with an afternoon of food, fun and entertainment on Sunday, June 5 from Noon to 4 p.m.
The free family event will feature Mariachi Dinastia and La Fiesta Danzantes de San Diego ballet folklorico group. There will be delicious Mexican food for sale, including tamales, taco and churros.
The House of Mexico, a nonprofit community organization, is part of the House of Pacific Relations (HPR) International Cottages at Balboa Park in San Diego.
Many years of hard work and efforts by countless volunteers and donors have resulted in the House of Mexico finally having a physical presence in Balboa Park. The House of Mexico cottage officially opened to the public in April, The House of Mexico is dedicated to creating a bridge to multicultural understanding by fostering awareness and appreciation of Mexico and its beautiful culture and traditions.
